Karen L. Perry, RMT

Karen was born and raised in Toronto. During high school Karen developed an interest in palliative care and has since worked with people with chronic long-term illnesses settings, including those on hemodialysis, physically disabled adults and the elderly.
While volunteering at a hospice in Toronto, Karen saw first-hand the power that massage had in healing, controlling pain and enhancing emotional well-being. This experience inspired her to return to school and study massage therapy. Karen graduated from Centennial College, Class of 2001.
Karen joined the M&Y Family in November, 2005. She has eight years experience with additional training focusing on the treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ/TMD), face, head and neck conditions as well as lymphatic drainage used in the treatment of chronic and acute inflammation/swelling.
Karen is an occassional contributor to the Upper York Magazine and enjoys time with her family, nature, photography, swimming, reading and doing cross-stitch.
