Custom Made Orthotics

Custom made orthotics may be required to correct your foot issues such as foot pain, bunions, heel spurs or even leg length inequality.

Dr. Darren Poncelet will provide a complete orthotic exam which includes:

1. sitting examination of your feet
2. standing examination of your feet
3. gait analysis to determine walking biomechanics

A discussion of footwear and appropriate orthotics will be recommended. Next, a plaster cast of your feet will then be made. These “slippers” will be sent to a Chiropodist to make your custom made orthotics.

Note: A referral from your physician, podiatrist or chiropodist may be required for you to receive your money back from your Benefit Insurance Health Plan.

Custom Made Shoes/Sandals

If you are interested in custom made shoes we have 3 different suppliers that carry a wide variety of footwear styles. Each supply company has Podiatrists or Chiropodists on staff to ensure that you get the correct product that meet your individual needs.

Dr. Darren Poncelet will provide a complete gait analysis that consists of 3 main components:

1. a sitting examination of your feet
2. a standing examination of your feet
3. a gait analysis of your walking biomechanics

After these steps are completed, a plaster cast is made of your feet. These “slippers” are then sent to the supplier to produce your orthotics and get the right shoe/sandal for you.
